How Game Leaf Cognac tastes
Cognac borrows from French brandy: a warm, slightly fruity sweetness with an oaky edge. It’s a favorite with smokers who want flavor without candy. On the natural leaf, the flavor sits on top of a light, earthy tobacco base, so it tastes a little less sugary than the foil Game version.
People who like warm brandy with an oaky edge tend to reorder this one. It pairs well with a brandy or a dark beer.

About Game Leaf cigarillos
Game Leaf cigarillos use a natural tobacco leaf wrapper instead of the smooth, even wrapper on the classic foil Game packs. You can see the leaf grain on every stick. Most people find the Leaf versions burn a little slower and taste a little more like tobacco. Game is made by Garcia y Vega, a cigar company founded in 1882, and it’s one of the best-known cigarillo brands in the US.
Smoking tips for a cooler, tastier burn
Light the foot evenly by rotating it over the flame, and take short, gentle draws. If the cigarillo goes out, tap off the ash and relight it; that’s normal. Fast puffing is the most common mistake and it burns off the Cognac taste first.
Game Leaf, foil or Mini: how to choose
Not sure which Game to buy? Start with the wrapper. Game Leaf cigarillos have a real leaf wrapper and a fuller, earthier smoke. Game Foil Fresh cigarillos have a smooth wrapper, a cleaner taste and a foil pouch that keeps them fresh. Game Mini cigarillos are the short version for a five-minute break. For a proper hand-rolled cigar, look at Camacho Baccarat The Game.
How to store the box
Keep the box closed, at room temperature and out of direct sun. The foil pouches protect the leaf until you open them. After that, smoke both cigarillos within a day or so, because an open natural leaf cigarillo dries out and starts to burn hot and harsh.
