Game Vega Honey Gold flavor notes
Honey (Gold) is Game’s honey flavor, sold in the gold pouch. It’s warm and mellow, with the honey clear on the lips and no fruit in the mix. On the classic Game wrapper the flavor is clean and even, with the sweetness on the tip.
If you like warm honey from the gold pouch, this is the box to stock up on. It pairs well with black tea or a bourbon.
Pack size, price and value
This listing is 30 foil pouches of 2, 60 cigarillos in all for $24. That comes to about 40¢ per cigarillo. Every pack in this box has “2 for 99¢” printed on it. That’s the store price the maker set. Your cost per pack from this box is roughly 80¢. Bought one pack at a time at the printed price, the same 30 packs would cost $29.70.
Other Honey (Gold) boxes
The same Honey (Gold) flavor is sold in other Game sizes and packs at Game Cigars:
- Game Foil Fresh Honey (Gold) Cigarillos 2 for $1.29: $32
- Game Cigarillos Honey (Gold) Foil, 30 Pouches of 2: $36, about 60¢ per cigarillo
How Game Foil Fresh cigarillos are made and packed
Classic Game cigarillos are sold two to a foil pouch. The foil keeps air and moisture out until you tear it open, which is why Game calls these Foil Fresh. A pouch opened months after packing still smokes like a fresh one. Game cigarillos come from Garcia y Vega, a cigar maker with roots going back to 1882.
How to smoke it for the best taste
Light the foot evenly by rotating it over the flame, and take short, gentle draws. If the cigarillo goes out, tap off the ash and relight it; that’s normal. Fast puffing is the most common mistake and it burns off the Honey (Gold) taste first.
Which Game format should you pick?
Game sells the same flavors in several formats, and the right one depends on how you smoke. Game Leaf cigarillos use a natural tobacco leaf wrapper and taste a little more like tobacco. Game Foil Fresh cigarillos come two to a sealed foil pouch with a smooth wrapper and the flavor up front. Game Mini cigarillos are shorter, three to a pack, for a quick smoke. If you want a full cigar, the Camacho Baccarat The Game line is the step up.
Keeping Game Vega Honey Gold fresh
The foil pouch does most of the work. Keep the box out of the sun and away from heat, and open one pouch at a time. Once it’s open, smoke both cigarillos within a day or two; an open cigarillo dries out, and a dry one burns fast and tastes harsh.
