Cognac is the best-stocked cocktail flavor in the Game range. Here is how it tastes and which of the nine boxes to buy.

Game Cigars guide, updated October 2026

Game cigars cognac is a Game Leaf flavor: brandy-like warmth with an oaky edge, on a natural tobacco leaf. It’s a favorite with people who want flavor without candy, and it comes in more pack sizes than almost anything else we sell.

What Game cigars cognac taste like

Cognac borrows from French brandy: a warm, slightly fruity sweetness with an oaky edge. It’s a favorite with smokers who want flavor without candy. The natural leaf wrapper adds a light earthy base that suits the brandy note. Pair it with a brandy or a dark beer.

Which Game cigars cognac box to buy

The cheapest per stick are the 5 for $2.99 box and the Save on 5 box, about 32¢ each. For the standard box, take the 15 pouches of 2. The 3 for $2.19 and 2 for $1.29 boxes carry the printed store price.

Cognac vs Dark Rum

Dark Rum is heavier, with molasses and spice. Cognac is lighter and a little fruitier. Both are among the least sugary flavors we sell.

Who makes it

Every Game flavor is made by Garcia y Vega, a cigar company founded in 1882. The boxes we sell are sealed as they leave the maker, so the pouches you open are the same ones you’d find in a store.

Storing and smoking

Keep the box closed, at room temperature and out of the sun, and only open the pouch you’re about to smoke. Once it’s open, smoke both cigarillos within a day or two. Smoke slowly, with an easy draw every 30 seconds or so; a hot cigarillo burns the flavor off first.
