Game cigars shipping to the UK: duty and VAT explained
Game Cigars ships to the UK for free. Here is how UK duty and VAT on imported tobacco work before you order.
Game cigars shipping to the UK is free, like every order. Game cigarillos are rare in UK shops, which is why UK smokers order them online. Since tobacco carries high duty in the UK, it’s worth knowing what happens when a parcel arrives.
What Game cigars shipping to the UK costs
Nothing. Shipping is free on every Game Cigars order, whatever the size, and there’s no minimum spend. The price you see on a product page is the box price, before any coupon. New customers can take $15 off with code WELCOME15, and paying with crypto gets a further discount at checkout.
Customs, duty and tobacco rules
Tobacco sent to the UK from abroad is liable for tobacco duty, customs duty where it applies, and VAT. The carrier usually collects these before delivery. Traveller allowances don’t apply to parcels, and the UK also has its own rules on tobacco packaging and labelling.
For the official rules, see the GOV.UK guide to tax on goods sent from abroad. They change from time to time, so check before a large order.
England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland
We ship to all four nations. Northern Ireland follows some EU rules for goods, so charges there can differ.
Packing and delivery
Each box is sealed as it left the maker. The classic Game cigarillos are packed two to a foil pouch, which keeps them fresh through a long trip; Game Leaf boxes use foil pouches too. Delivery time depends on the destination and on customs, and you’ll get an email when your order ships.
Which boxes travel best
Foil boxes are the most forgiving in transit because every pouch is sealed. The 60-count foil boxes and the Game Leaf 15 x 2 boxes are a sensible size for a first order. Popular boxes to start with: Mango foil, Grape foil, Game Leaf White Russian, Honey (Gold) and Game Leaf Cognac.
Tracking and what to do on arrival
When your order ships you’ll get an email. If the carrier asks you to pay duty or taxes before delivery, that charge comes from customs, not from us. When the parcel arrives, check that the boxes are sealed and match your order. If anything is damaged or missing, email sales@game-cigars.com within 7 days with your order number and a photo, and we’ll put it right.
Ordering several boxes
You can mix any boxes in one order and it still ships free. Many customers pick two or three flavors so they have a change of taste. If you’re ordering from abroad, keep in mind that a bigger parcel can mean a bigger customs bill, so it can make sense to start with a smaller first order and see how your country handles it.
Age rules
We sell to adults 21 and over only, in every country. Some countries set a lower legal age for tobacco, but our rule stays at 21. Read our terms and conditions for the details, or see the Game cigar boxes page to start an order.
